Doug Dwyer is president and chief stewarding officer of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. Since 1997, he has guided the franchise to serve as the leader in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry with approximately 80 independently owned and operated franchises nationwide. Throughout his franchising career, Dwyer has worked to keep the company centered on its service to people, both franchisees and customers. The vision that he has set for DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen clearly defines this goal. Instead of focusing only on growth and profits, DreamMaker’s brand position has been aimed at strong margins and quality of life.
With more than 23 years of experience in franchising, Dwyer has held several leadership positions at The Dwyer Group, based in Waco, Texas. His previous roles include: franchise sales for Rainbow International; director of Rainbow International; and president of The Dwyer Group National Accounts, Inc. His positions with Worldwide Refinishing Systems (dba DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen) include: vice president of franchise systems management, executive vice president, and chief operating officer. His management expertise includes operations, franchise development, franchise support, marketing development and warehousing.
Dwyer's honors include leading DreamMaker to be named the 2004 Remodeler of the Year by Professional Remodeler magazine, one of Remodeling magazine's Big 50 and Top 100 firms, Qualified Remodeler's Top 500, and repeated listings in Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500. Kitchen and Bath Business also named him to the Cool 5 Under 35.-
Dwyer is actively involved in the following organizations: the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, the National Kitchen and Bath Association and the National Association of Home Builders Remodelers. He is a frequent speaker at remodeling, franchising and general business meetings. He has addressed audiences at the Southern Building Show, the Remodelers' Show and Baylor University's FastTrack Entrepreneurial Program graduation.
Dwyer makes his home in Waco, Texas with his family.
